The Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi onWednesday announced a slew of development initiatives to ensure holistic growthand people’s prosperity of the Nihalsingh Wala assembly constituency andassured that funds would be no hindrance in executing the development centricprojects.

Addressing a mammoth gathering here at the Grain Marketduring a State level function, the Chief Minister said that the rich and aristocraticpeople have no scruples as they can go to any extent to achieve their personalmotives.

Coming down heavily on the Captain and Badal, he saidthat these families are hand in glove with Union Government led by NarendraModi for ruining Punjab in order to achieve their personal motives.

The Chief Minister further stated that firstly, theBadals implemented the farm laws in the State and then played a leading role ingetting the same enforced upon the entire country by giving ill advice to theNarendra Modi led Union Government. He further pointed out that in order tosave the ministerial berth of Harsimrat Kaur Badal, the Badal family went tothe extent of even campaigning in support of these black laws. Harsimrat didn'tresign on her own from the Union Cabinet but the massive angst amongst thepeople forced her to do so, said Channi.

Taking on the former Chief Minister Captain AmarinderSingh, Channi said that Captain is also backstabbing the Punjab and thePunjabis by aligning with the Modi Government and justifying the notificationof the Central Government enhancing the jurisdiction of BSF in Punjab by 50 Km."This is a direct attack on the rights of states as well as the federalstructure which would not be tolerated by the Punjabis", said the ChiefMinister.

Intensifying the attacks on the Badal and the CaptainAmarinder Singh families, Channi said that it is due to their joining handswith each other that the Transport and Cable mafia has looted the people ofPunjab. The Chief Minister further said that although it's been only 2 monthssince he has taken over as the CM but he has nipped the evil of Transport mafianurtured by Badals, in the bud. Now, the State Government is fully geared up toact tough on the Cable mafia which also received their patronage.

Taking the attack right into the opposition ranks andcastigating Kejriwal, the Chief Minister said that the Kejriwal's bunch of menis plotting to rob Punjab on the pattern of outside invaders by donning thegarb of 'Aam Aadmi'. He also mentioned that the sensible people of Punjab wouldnot let the nefarious designs of such imposters to succeed. The Chief Ministersaid clearly that Punjab would only be ruled by the people of the State as thelikes of Kejriwal have absolutely no familiarity with the problems as well asthe needs of the common masses of the State. Kejriwal just wants to capturepower in Punjab by resorting to drama and false guarantees as beyond that hehas no concern for the State of Punjab.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced grant worthRs. 15 crore for the overall development of the Nihalsingh Wala constituencybesides strengthening all the approach roads. Fulfilling a long pending demandof the region, the Chief Minister also announced a degree college for the constituency.

Exhorting the people of the region to unitedly vote forthe Congress party in the impending assembly polls rising above the party levelfor establishing the rule of the common man, Channi assured them of givingticket only to the leader popular among the masses.

The Chief Minister also formally initiated the process ofgiving 5 Marla plots to the beneficiaries by awarding the 'Sanads' to the twobeneficiaries. Today, as many as 1294 beneficiaries were awarded the Sanads inthe Moga District.

The Cabinet Minister Rana Gurjit Singh, MP from FaridkotMuhammad Sadiq also addressed the gathering. The dignitaries were welcomed byCaptain Sandeep Singh Sandhu. Among others present on the occasion included ExMLAs Ahut Singh Shant and Bibi Rajwinder Kaur Bhagike, Bibi Jagdarshan Kaur,Bhupinder Singh Sahoke, Amarjit Singh Sahoke, Retired S.P. Mukhtiar Singh,Director Mandi Board Hari Singh Khai, Chairman Zila Parishad Moga InderjitSingh Bhangerian, Chairman Improvement Trust Moga Vinod Bansal, DeputyCommissioner Harish Nayyar, D.I.G. Ferozepur Range Surjit Singh and SSPSurinderjit Singh Mand.
