Capt Amarinder Singh resigns as Punjab CM, know how netizens welcomed the decision

After facing multiple revolts, Capt Amarinder Singh resigns from his post of Punjab Chief Minister. The key political development came after speculations of a no-confidence motion against Capt were aired.

Raveen Thukral, media advisor to CM tweeted, “CM @capt_amarinder has met Punjab Governor and submitted his and his council of ministers’ resignation. He will address the media at the Raj Bhavan gate in a few minutes from now.”

This political development was later shared by Punjab CM himself on the micro-blogging site. He tweeted, “Submitted my resignation to Honble Governor.” 

Netizens welcomed the decision and praised former Punjab CM for such a step. One of the netizens said that one’s self-respect is above everything and Captain Amarinder Singh has proved it.

Sudeep, one of the netizens, asked the captain to stay in the party and to guide the young people. He commented, “You are superb Sir. You are my respected one. Please Stay back with INC and guide Young People of INC.” 

While another netizen said that Captain must join the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and wished him all the best. His tweet read, “Good Decision! A “Horse” can’t work under the leadership of a “Mule”. The third user praised him for choosing his self-respect above everything. The comment read, “Good. Self respect is above everything Captain. You deserve much better than the Gandhi Family who just don’t see anything above their rules and regulations. If they cannot keep or maintain relationships with you it’s their loss. You kept your dignity high!” 

Yet another commented (in Hindi) and saluted former Punjab CM, the user wrote, “Salute Captain Saahb!”
