Patiala MP and Former Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur has hit back to the Congress party after a show-cause notice was issued against her. Congress issued the notice for alleged "anti-party activities." She on Monday issued a statement hitting back at the party saying that the person who left the Congress party on the issue of Sonia Gandhi being a foreign national is now raising allegations against her.

Reportedly, Patiala MP Preneet Kaur has hit back to Congress party in a written statement after they issued a show-cause notice against her. She further added, “I had always stood by my constituents, constituency and state Punjab and would continue to do so.” The letter issued by her was addressed to INC Disciplinary Action Committee's Member Secretary Tariq Anwar. She in her letter wrote, “I am surprised to see that a person who left the Congress Party in 1999 on the issue of Mrs. Gandhi being a foreign national, and stayed out for 20 years till 2019, and had to face disciplinary action himself, is now questioning me on a so-called disciplinary matter."

Talking about the leaders of Punjab, Preneet Kaur wrote that leaders who have raised allegations against her, themselves have many cases pending against them. She further added that Capt Amarinder Singh, her husband saved them when he was the CM as they were from their party. She also stated, "I have always stood by my constituents, constituency and my state Punjab and have taken up their issues regardless of which government is in power. I will continue to meet the state and Union government to resolve such issues, whether you like it or not."

Patiala MP Preneet Kaur ended the letter by saying, "As to action against me you are free to take whatever action you wish."
