"CBI Has Not Taken Over The Case": Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Sushant's case

Going by the reports of Republic TV, Anil Deshmukh insisted that the Mumbai Police is capable enough to handle and solve the case of Sushant Singh Rajput

Amidst the ongoing controversy of Sushant Singh Rajput's death, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Saturday said that the CBI has not taken over the case from Mumbai Police. Notably, the case transfer PIL filed by Rhea Chakraborty is still going on in Supreme Court. 

Going by the reports of Republic TV, Anil Deshmukh insisted that the Mumbai Police is capable enough to handle and solve the case of Sushant Singh Rajput. However, there are lapses that have exposed  Mumbai Police's casualty in handling Sushant Singh Rajput's case. Even the forensic team that were involved in Sushant's case confessed the lapses in Sushant Singh Rajput's case.

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh from day 1 is against the CBI Inquiry in Sushant Singh Rajput's case. He also said that Mumbai Police will hand over the case until the Supreme Court hearing is going on. Notably, the final verdict of the Supreme Court will come on August 11. 

The CBI in its FIR has named Rhea, her father Indrajit Chakraborty, mother Sandhya Chakraborty, brother Showik Chakaraborty, Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda, Shruti Modi, and unknown others. They have been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including abetment to suicide, criminal conspiracy, wrongful restraint/confinement, theft, criminal breach of trust, cheating and other offences.
