The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted a Class 12 Accountancy paper on Monday, December 13. Fake audio is viral on social media in which CBSE controller Sanyam Bharadwaj has said that the students will be awarded up to “six grace marks”.

The board controller can be heard saying that “Don't worry students, if you attempt 28 to 31 questions correctly, you will score around 38 marks. CBSE will award grace marks up to six to the students.”

He further said that the change in the Accounts exam was a last-minute shock for the students. “In CBSE sample papers, you are asked to attempt 45 out of 55 questions, while in the exam paper it is 40 out of 48 questions, which seems shocking to the students. Along with that, the instructions were not proper in the paper,” the controller was quoted saying.

He also said that “the answer of question number 10 in the answer key is 100 percent wrong, question number 47 is controversial.”

The CBSE Board exams have become controversial. This issue was raised by Congress leader Sonia Gandhi in the Parliament and a few hours after, the board issued a statement.

The Central Board of Education has clarified that no such audio message has been shared by them regarding the class 12th accountancy exam. Everyone is requested not to trust such messages blindly.
