In a shocking incident in Ludhiana, Punjab, a man attacked the police personnel at the Moti Nagar police station. The attacker, armed with a sword, stormed into the police station late Sunday night, causing chaos and panic among the serving officers.
A video of the incident shows the attacker entering the chief clerk’s room around 8 PM, where police employees were on night duty. The man began attacking the officers with his sword, forcing them to run for their lives. A constable was injured while another officer was able to escape.
The escaping officer threw a brick at the attacker in an attempt to defend himself further. This further enraged the attacker as he then charged at the officer with the sword. The commotion attracted the attention of nearby people who rushed to the scene and helped stop the attacker.
Two police officers were injured in the incident, and the attacker himself sustained injuries and was admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment.
ACP Jaswinder Singh confirmed that the assailant is mentally ill and is currently receiving medical care. No legal action has been taken against him at this time.
