Waris Punjab De Chief ordered that no benches, sofas or chairs should be kept inside the Gurudwara otherwise the result won’t be good.

Shocking incident was reported from Jalandhar where several benches and chairs kept for devotees were set on fire by Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh and his supporters. Now, CCTV of the same is going viral of the ruckus created.

Regarding this issue, head of Shri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara Ajit Singh Sethi said that chairs and benches were installed in the Gurudwara for the elderly people to sit as it is not possible for them to sit on the ground. Reportedly, later around 200-300 people came inside the Model Town Gurudwara with weapons in their hands. They then raised questions on chairs, sofas and benches kept inside the Gurudwara. They said that all the devotees should sit down because everyone is equal there. Cushions kept on sitting places were torn apart with sharp weapons. Amritpal Singh and his supporters set all the chairs, and benches on fire. Waris Punjab De Chief further ordered that no benches, sofas or chairs should be kept inside the Gurudwara otherwise the result won’t be good.

Furthermore, Paramjit Singh, the chief Granthi of the gurdwara said that when Waris Punjab Mukhi Amrit Pal reached the gurdwara with his supporters, he first took blessing in front of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and ordered benches & chairs to be thrown out. When the people refused to do so, he along with his supporters created a ruckus at the Gurudwara.
