A shocking incident has surfaced from Jalandhar in which hooligans ran over speeding vehicle on mother and daughter sitting near a railway station. Reportedly, both got seriously injured and the eight-year-old girl was admitted to Civil Hospital. Her condition is said to be critical.
As per information received, accident took place at around 5 in morning. Both victims were sitting on footpath outside railway station and were waiting for someone. While they were sitting, a speeding vehicle came and ran over them. It is also being stated that accused were intoxicated. Soon after the accident, the GRP overpowered a youth, while 3 managed to escape.
Reports reveal that the young girl has got fractures in both her legs along with severe head injury. She is currently admitted to Private Hospital. It is being said due to her critical condition she was referred to another hospital by government doctors. Concerned doctors have revealed that condition of girl is critical and is not in a condition to give statement.

The police have seized footage of CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding area and an investigation has been initiated. While one remains under custody other three are still absconding.
