The Centre to carry a meeting over video conference with the West Bengal government on Friday at 5 pm over the concerning law and order situation in the state. This meeting comes even after Mamata Banerjee has been involved in a stinging war with the centre over the attack on BJP chief JP Nadda’s convoy in Bengal.
This meeting befalls at a time when Centre has ordered 3 IPS officers deputed in Bengal to immediately report on their central deputation before 5 pm on Friday. These 3 IPS officers were responsible for JP Nadda’s convoy security in Bengal when it was attacked by some goons in the state recently.
On Thursday, the Central government had dispatched a fresh message to the West Bengal government asking to quickly release its three IPS officers for central deputation, which provoked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to name the move as "unconstitutional and unacceptable".

Mamata Banerjee challenged that she will not allow the "brazen attempt to control the state machinery by proxy", which has increased the tension between the Centre and the state.
The three officers -- Bholanath Pandey (SP, Diamond Harbour), Praveen Tripathi (DIG, Presidency Range) and Rajeev Mishra (ADG, South Bengal) -- were responsible for the security of BJP chief J P Nadda during his December 9-10 visit to the politically unstable state.
