Famous standup comedian Daniel Fernandes recently published a video of one of his live shows ‘Alive and Vaccinated’ on his YouTube channel. The video uploaded by Daniel Fernandes has sparked massive outrage and received a lot of backlash for his controversial comments on political differences and Hindus. As soon as the video went viral, netizens started demanding the arrest of Daniel Fernandes for his recent video.
Daniel Fernandes posted 1 hour and 39 minutes long video of himself titled ‘Alive and Vaccinated.’ In the video, Daniel can be seen displaying his bigotry and unabashed views on BJP and the people who voted for it. Basically, in the video, Daniel said that the people who voted for Chai Party should not be accepted in society and should be boycotted. He further added that these people instead of getting medical aid should die.
Daniel Fernandes started off his video on a lighter note. He first stated that Instagram has gone on to become a hospital where people are seeking help for their medical problems. He then went on to say that when he asks people about the party they voted for when they seek help. He added if they say that it was ‘Chai Party’ then I straightaway block them otherwise I share. Apart from this talking about COVID-19 pandemic, Daniel said that one of his friends said that same thing should have been done in the hospitals. People who voted for Chai Party should have been given no medical aid at all. These statements by him have made netizens furious.
Daniel Fernandes faced a lot of backlash on Twitter. One user shared the video and wrote, “Can a man be this disgusting???? Indeed, we have stinking filth living with us on this earth... There is no cure for persons like #DanielFernandes.”
While another user wrote, “So this disgrace of a human. Daniel thinks it’s fair to block those desperate to get hospital beds during 2nd wave of Covid just cuz they had the audacity to vote for the man this guy hates…Guess if Narendra Modi would have denied vaccine to those who didn’t vote for him.”
Another user wrote, “More disturbing is why exactly is the audience cheering n applauding this hate speech? The only parallel I can think of is Hitler’s hate speech against the Jews. The Germans cheered his hatred just like this.”
