As per latest information, a girl’s body was found under suspicious circumstances in Zirakpur. Reportedly, it was on Wednesday when police received information that a dead body of girl was lying inside a car. There was no one to identify the body. Soon after this, concerned police officials initiated a probe and body was taken to Civil Hospital for postmortem.
Explaining the incident, a young man was driving the red polo car and parked it near fields of Shatabgarh Zirakpur and fled from the scene. Post this, a framer going to work noticed that woman was lying unconscious in car. He then informed the same to police. The deceased was identified as 32-year-old Sapna Rana, resident of Derabassi. Reportedly, the deceased lived alone in Dental College Road Society, Derabassi. She was a resident of Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. Her father is truck driver while her brother serves in army.
Soon after identification, family of deceased was informed about unfortunate incident. As per investigation, no injury or strangulation marks were found on body of deceased. Probe to find the accused has also started and police has taken hold of CCTV installed nearby. Postmortem of body will be carried out on Thursday after which cause behind death will be known.
