In Naya Gaon (SAS Nagar) adjacent to Chandigarh, a maternal uncle raped her own niece and got her pregnant. Naya Gaon police station has registered a case against the accused uncle. The accused is said to be absconding. By recording the victim's statement, Naya Gaon police station has begun further investigation.
The victim's parents are laborers, and they leave in the morning and return in the evening. Their 11-year-old daughter lived alone in the house.
On Wednesday, the victim was taken to Sector-16 Government Multi Specialty Hospital (GMSH-16) after she complained of abdominal pain. Here during the ultrasound, it was found that she is pregnant.
The mother of the victim girl said that her relative, who appears to be the girl's maternal uncle, lives in the neighborhood. He has raped their daughter. The police reached the spot and registered a case under the POCSO Act against the accused mother.
