Chandigarh University Video Leak Case: 12 more videos of accused allegedly found on her phone, probe underway

The Punjab Police has informed that a Special Investigation Team has been made regarding the case which will be headed by ADGP Gurpreet Kaur Dio.

Though the protests in Chandigarh University have ended, still there are many chapters of the video leak scandal that remains unfolded. A startling new angle and facts have come up related to the Chandigarh University news. It is alleged that the police have taken hold of 12 more videos of the accused from her phone.

The initial investigation done has revealed that the accused was herself being blackmailed by her boyfriend and his friend. She has told the police authorities that the other two accused forced her to shoot obscene videos and threatened that if she fails to do so, they would make her video viral. It has also been said that calls were often made from the accused’s phone to Delhi, Mumbai and Gujarat.

Another fact that has come up during the investigation is that besides the three accused, a fourth person is also involved who is being traced now. The fourth accused is being identified as Mohit. During the preliminary investigation, it was found out that after receiving the videos Sunny used to save them into another gadget. The search for that gadget is still going on by the police officials.

It is being said that the girls from Chandigarh University are still receiving threats to make the video viral. The messages are being sent to them through different WhatsApp numbers. The girl students who participated in the protest have also been threatened with international numbers in the past.

The FIR that has been registered against the female accused informs that six girls themselves saw the videos being made and took her to the hostel warden. After being interrogated about the same by the hostel administration, the accused confessed to having made the videos. The Punjab Police has informed that a Special Investigation Team has been made regarding the case which will be headed by ADGP Gurpreet Kaur Dio.
