Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed his commitment to staying afloat amid United's interest in him.

The German coach is believed to be on United's radar after the Blues' fate was uncertain following the sanctions imposed by the British government on its owner, Roman Abramovich.

Understandably, as manager Tuchel will face great difficulties following the ban on buying and selling players, offering new contracts to the coaching staff. In addition, Chelsea also cannot sell player tickets.

Until now, MU has set Mauricio Pochettino and Erik Ten Hag as the main targets. Tuchel himself is one of Ralf Rangnick's students with an identical playing style. Bringing him to Old Trafford is believed to be the right choice to replace Rangnick.

However, Tuchel has ruled out such speculation by saying he will 'absolutely' remain at Chelsea, at least until the end of the season.

We just have to wait and we still have to go day by day because things can change.

"As you know the situation is clear, the club is being sold, and hopefully, that will sort things out and give us perspective. But that's pure speculation and I don't have any further information than you already have."

"That's what I mean by day by day, which is, after all, a good way to live life, and now we are forced to do it because there are some circumstances that we cannot influence, and at some point, it is not so good, because we have no strings attached. to withdraw and no action should be taken to assist.”

But on the other hand, says Tuchel, it gives him the freedom to focus on what can turn him into an injection of motivation.

"Of course, the focus is on the first team, our players and me and the Chelsea first team. But Chelsea is much more than a Premier League first team. It's a big club, a big club with a big tradition and there are hundreds of people I'm sure are more worried than our players and staff, myself included.

"For them, it's important for us to show some passion and give them a little distraction, some hope and show who we are. It's about playing football that we like."

Chelsea ended a difficult week with a narrow win thanks to a late goal from Kai Havertz against Newcastle.

The win leaves Chelsea comfortably in third place ahead of their Champions League last-16 second leg against Lille.
