Another case of chain snatching has surfaced from the capital. A Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) member was robbed by two bike-borne assailants in the Rohini area of the city on Friday morning.

The incident took place around 9.15 am when Jyoti Rathee, a resident of Printers Apartment, Sector 13, Rohini, was returning home on a scooter after dropping her son to school.

The assailants came on a motorcycle and tried to snatch a gold chain off of 34-year-old Jyoti Rathee's neck.

While the accused managed to break the gold chain, the victim caught on to it, after which one of the accused got down from the motorcycle and pushed her.

As per sources, Jyoti Rathee said, "I had reached in front of my apartment when someone hit me hard on my chest. I saw that two men on a bike, wearing helmets were right next to me. The pillion rider again hit me on my neck and snatched my gold chain. The chain broke and its pendant fell on my scooter. I lost my balance and fell from the two-wheeler."

She said the two men fled with her chain. Rathee also shared her ordeal through a video on Twitter.
