China has imposed fresh sanctions on 28 people of UnitedStates of Amercia including former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on thecharges of violating China's sovereignty. The decision came as the Joe Bidensworn in as the 46th President of America.
The other individuals that are included in the sanctionsare Peter Navarro, Director of Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy, RobertO Brien, Former National Security Adviser.
As per China's Xinhua news agency, David R. Stilwell, formerAssistant Secretary for the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, MatthewPottinger, former Deputy National Security Advisor, Alex Azar, former Secretaryof Health and Human Services, Keith J. Krach, incumbent Under Secretary ofState for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment, and Kelly Craft formerAmbassador to the UN, John Bolton, former National Security Advisor and StephenK. Bannon former White House Chief Strategist were also part of the list ofpeople that face sanctions from China.
The Spokesperson from China said these individuals "havebeen mainly responsible for a series of crazy US moves on China-relatedissues".
These members are barred from entering Hong Kong andMacau in China and these sanctions are extended to their family members also.
They are also restricted from doing business with Chinaas per the reports.
The foreign ministry of China said, "Over the pastfew years, some anti-China politicians in the US, out of their selfishpolitical interests and prejudice and hatred against China and showing noregard for the interests of the Chinese and American people, have planned,promoted and executed the crazy moves which have gravely interfered in China'sinternal affairs, undermined China's interests, offended the Chinese people,and seriously disrupted China-US relations."
