The fact is not hidden anymore that Punjab has become a nexus of drugs. It has become a matter of every day that videos of people under the influence of drugs and doing trade of drugs openly have gone viral. Although it has become an everyday phenomenon for Police to carry out search operations, the menace does not seem to end.

Now, the latest video that has come to the fore is shocking. It clearly states the fact that the police and people have turned blind eyes to whatever is happening in the state. The video that has come forward is of a person telling the condition of a village due to drug abuse and has requested the government to take certain action against the same. The video shows a person complaining about the situation of Bhai Bakhtour Village due to drugs being openly sold there.

The person in the video alleged that in the village teenagers between the age group of 16-18 years are consuming drugs. Furthermore, on the occasion of Dussehra 3 people lost their lives. The shocking piece of information revealed by his was that at the start of the village, a board has been put which reads ‘Chitta ithe milda hai’ i.e. people can easily get drugs from here. He also added that instead of trying to curb these activities in the state, police officials are arresting those who are fighting against the drug abuse going on in Punjab.

This is not the very first time anything like this has happened. It has almost been a month since which around 9-10 videos have surfaced showing how Punjab has come to worst in matter of Drug Abuse. It has become often to find people who are either buying or consuming drugs without any hesitation.
