‘Chowki ki aage ganja milta hai…’: Student slams police during inter-university ‘anti-drug demonstration’

In Sonipat, Haryana, a student bravely held up a mirror to the police who had come to make the youth, especially the students, aware about drug abuse. In the presence of the police officer, the student said that there is a police post in front of our university and drugs are sold openly in front of the post.

 

Questioning the vigilance of the police, the student said - As soon as the children come here, they track the drug sellers, but why can't the police see all this. Other students present there also supported their colleague's statement verbally. The video of this student exposing the police went viral on social media.

 

According to reports, the police had organized a seminar on Thursday to make students aware against drug addiction at Ashoka University located in Rai Education City, Sonipat. Students were called from four famous nearby universities namely Dr. BR Ambedkar Law University, Ashoka University, SRM University and OP Jindal Global University. DCP Satish Kumar and other police officers had attended the seminar.

 

The police informed the students about their evils and appealed to them not to consume drugs. They also appealed to them give information about drug sellers. Meanwhile, during the questioning, a student of Ashoka University stood up and questioned the police’s own competency.
