Actors Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut worked together first in a movie Kites in 2010 and later on in Krrish 3 in 2013. Hrithik and his wife Sussane Khan got divorced in 2013. Rumors started picking up pace that Roshan started dating Ranuat.

The controversy that started in 2016 is not dying down anytime soon. After it was debated that Kangana was ousted from Aashiqui 3, it was alleged to be because of Roshan. Kangana in an interview said, "Yes, many lame rumours are doing rounds; even a dumb ass can tell where these rumours are coming from. I don't know why exes do silly things to get your attention. For me, that chapter is over and I don't dig graves."

After Kangana's comment, Hrithik took to twitter and said he would date Pope than dating a woman named by media in its reports. Hrithik through his lawyer also sent notice to Kangana on February 26, 2016.

Roshan's advocate Deepesh Mehta said, "Since quite some time you (Kangana) have been insinuating and trying to create an image within the film industry through print and social media and in public at large that there was some relationship between our client (Hrithik) and you.

Our client states that it is needless to mention that there was no relationship between him and you. You are trying to propagate a false idea and thereby gain publicity with ulterior motives and mala fide intentions."

Kangana responded with 21 pages notice. Her legal notice said, "She is not some dim-witted teenager who has been smitten and that whatever happened between the two of them was with full consent of both parties."

"It is pertinent to record that your client throughout supported my client and fully involved her. He also did not make any attempt to block her. There is no communication from him to my client objecting to an emails. This proves that he received the emails with his participation and consent."

As per reports, Hrithik and Kangana met in 2014 at Karan Johar's birthday bash. Kangana allegedly thanked Roshan for appreciating her work in the movie 'Queen.' After that it came to light that allegedly an imposter has been responding to Kangana as Hrithik and he had filed a complaint with the Cyber cell.  But Kangana said Hrithik himself provided her the email id and they were corresponding through that email id until May 2014.

What is now happening in the case?

The Criminal Intelligence Unit of the Crime branch is likely to summon Hrithik Roshan to record his statement in the imposter case. An officer told Free Press Journal (FPJ), "We are in the process of issuing summons to him and he will be called for recording his statement this week."

"During the investigation so far, it has been revealed that some 950 emails had been sent to Hrithik, from two email IDs bearing the words Kangana Ranaut in the email address in combination with different numerals in the ids. The emails were sent between April-June 2014 and some were obscene in nature," the officer claimed for the FPJ.
