As per Swedish media reports, Clark Olofsson was a notorious yet good-looking & charismatic criminal of Sweden who was convicted of many crimes like attempted murder, assault, robbery, and dealing narcotics. Clark Olofsson spent more than half of his life in prison in Sweden and the notorious criminal was present at the Norrmalmstorg robbery that resulted in the creation of the phrase "Stockholm syndrome". Clark Olofsson's crimes

As mentioned above Clark Olofsson spent more than half of his life in jail. His crime career began in the early 60s and his eventful criminal career turned him into one of the most controversial figures in modern Swedish history. Clark Olofsson was convicted of many counts of attempted murder, narcotics trafficking, assault, and robbery. After the 1973 failed robbery, he fully gained the status of criminal celebrity aka 'Celebrity Gangster' and, in spite of his countless crimes, his natural charm had part of the population falling in love with him. In August 1966, Clark was sentenced to eight years in prison for attempted murder. In the prison, Clark became friends with Jan-Erik Olsson. Then in 1973 when Jan-Erik Olsson was released, he robbed a bank in Stockholm and took four employees hostage. Erik demanded the release of Clark Olofsson from jail, which was granted, and then Clark joined Olsson in the bank with the hostages.

Now, cutting long things short, in February 2017, Olofsson turned 70 years old and was granted new Swedish citizenship. In October 2017, Clark was rejected in a Belgian court on his application for an ankle monitor. Olofsson demanded relocation back to Sweden. Belgium granted the application but in November 2017 Sweden rejected it. However, in May 2018, after a discussion on conditional release in Belgium, Clark was released. Thereafter, finally, on 30 July 2018, Olofsson landed at Landvetter Airport outside Gothenburg, Sweden as a free man.
