Ever since its release, the new-age teen drama of Bollywood- Class, has reached to the top of Netflix in terms of shows streaming on the OTT giant in India. Adaptation of Spanish web series which is in its 17th season- Elite, Class is an Indian young adult series adapted by Ashim Ahluwalia, Raghav Kakkar, and Kashyap Kapoor. On the other hand, the Spanish web series Elite is created by Carlos Montero and Dario Madrona. Both Elite and Class are almost same as the Hindi version is the adaptation of the English version. Class web series follows the tumultuous events that unfurl when two worlds collide, shaking up families, relationships, and the lives of students from high-profile families. Two worlds as in when three kids from the other side (economically weaker, Dalit, and minority section) join a posh international Delhi school. While Class is breaking Netflix in India, it is almost similar to Elite. While those who have already watched Elite in India, they must be aware of the characters who played and their similarity with Class. However, for those who are not aware, below is everything you need to know in terms of characters of Class and Elite-
1) Piyush Khati as Dheeraj Kumar Valmiki (In Class) & Itzan Escamilla as Samuel in Elite
Like Elite, Class revolves around three students who are from economically weaker sections (minority and Dalits. Dheeraj Kumar Valmiki who is among the three new students in Delhi's lavish school Hamptons is played by actor Piyush Khati. He has an older brother, who has served time in jail, and his dad is an alcoholic who owes a substantial sum to a local debt collector. Notably, Dheeraj falls in love with Suhani which is murdered in the web series.
Coming to Elite, Dheerj's character is named Samuel. The character of Samuel is played by Itzan Escamilla. Samuel is one of three students (Nadia, Christian) who has received a scholarship to study at the prestigious school Las Encinas. He struggles to fit in initially but soon makes friends before the drama of the series unfolds.
2. Gurfateh Pirzada as Neeraj Kumar Valmiki (In Class) and Nano García (Jaime Lorente) in Elite
Neeraj Kumar Valmiki who is played by actor Gurfateh Pirzada is the elder brother of Dheeraj in the web series. It was Neeraj's affair with Suhani behind Dheeraj's back that complicates the entire storyline, however, making it interesting at the same time. In the end of Class, Neeraj gets arrested on the charges of the murder of Suhani Ahuja. However, those who haven't watched Class yet must watch as this is not a spoiler.
Now, coming to Elite, the character of Neeraj's name is Nano García which is played by Money Hiest fame actor Jaime Lorente. After being framed for Marina’s murder and getting out of jail, Nano is living as a man on the run in Morocco with his mom, leaving his brother Samu holding down the fort alone in Madrid (After Season 1).
3) Anjali Sivaraman as Suhani Ahuja (In Class) / Marina Nunier (María Pedraza) in Elite
The strong character of Suhani Ahuja is played by Anjali Sivaraman. Class started with the murder of Suhani Ahuja and the cops interrogating the students and trying to find out who killed Suhani Ahuja. In a school full of spoiled brats, Suhani Ahuja welcomes the three underprivileged students wholeheartedly in Hamptons International School. In the series, Suhani gets attached to both Dheeraj and his elder brother Neeraj. While she becomes the girlfriend of Dheeraj for a short time, at the same time she became pregnant with Neeraj's child. In the end, Suhani Ahuja was murdered by her own friend's boyfriend.

In Elite, the character of Suhani's name is Marina Nunier. The character of Marina Nunier is played by María Pedraza. María Pedraza is the actress who stuns as the starring role of Marina in Elite on Netflix. Marina comes from a shady, rich family but appears to be unlike them. She immediately welcomes Samuel to Las Encinas before getting caught up in the drama of the series. María previously acted in the Spanish crime series Money Heist with her cast-mate Miguel Herrán (Christian)
4) Cwaayal Singh as Balli Sehrawat (In Class)/ Christian Varela (Miguel Herrán) in Elite
The character of Balli Sehrawat is played by actor Cwaayal Singh and he indeed keeps the audience bonded with the long web series. Balli comes in an open relationship with Sharan and Koel Kalra. In the end, it was Koel's dependency on Balli that drives Sharan crazy into the series and ultimately he kills Suhani for a stollen and encrypted mobile phone.
In Elite, the character of Balli's name is Christian and it is played by famous Spanish actor Miguel Herrán. Miguel Herrán is the actor who plays Christian in Elite on Netflix. Christian is a class clown who makes it his mission to become one of the popular kids at Las Encinas after getting in via scholarship with Samuel and Nadia. He has acted in the sci-fi comedy Some Time After and the Spanish crime series Money Heist with his cast-mate Jaime Lorente (Nano).
5) Moses Koul as Sharan Gujral (In Class)/ Polo Benavent (Álvaro Rico) in Elite
The character of Sharan Gujral is played by Moses Koul in Class. Sharan who also comes from a rich family is the boyfriend of Koel Kalra. However, he agrees with Koel to let Balli come into their physical relationship. However, things go wrong when Koel caught Sharan enjoying 'self-pleasure' by seeing Balli taking a shower. In the end, it was Sharan who ultimately helps Koel and kills Suhani with the award she won on Foundations Day.
In Elite, the character of Sharan's ane is Polo Benavent and it is played by Álvaro Rico. Álvaro Rico is the actor who plays Polo in Elite on Netflix. Polo dates Carla and is friends with Guzmán. You may recognise Álvaro from the rom-com drama Velvet Collection.
