CM Amarinder Singh may resign before CLP meet: Sources

Reportedly, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh may resign at 4 PM, an hour before the meeting of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP).

The Punjab crisis is expected to take a new turn today, as sources have revealed that Punjab CM may resign at 4 PM, an hour before the Congress Legislature Party meeting, which was announced by AICC general secretary in-charge of Punjab affairs Harish Rawat last night. 

Today, Punjab Chief Minister has alerted Congress chief Sonia Gandhi that he “can’t continue with such humiliation” and there are reports that he may resign from the post of Punjab Chief Minister.

The reports can be confirmed through a recent tweet by Press Secretary to CM, Vimal Sumbly, which read, “If people 'surprise' you with betrayal, you have a right to 'shock' them back with a due vengeance. Period.”
