After assuming the power of the state after the massive victory of the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab, CM Bhagwant Mann is taking startling decisions one after the other.  CM Bhagwant Mann made two important announcements regarding private schools.

In a video message, CM Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday announced two important decisions for the education department:

1. He ordered private schools in the state to not increase the admission fee this semester.
2. No private school will ask parents to go to a specific shop to purchase uniforms & books.

Bhagwant Mann says the AAP govt will frame school fee policy after talks with stakeholders with aim to make education affordable.

CM Mann said that due to the cost of education, it has become out of reach for common people. Parents are compelled to withdraw their children from school. They have to make them work or they are forced to provide such education to the children, which is of no use in the future. That's why the Punjab government has taken two big decisions related to education.

Earlier, State Education Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hare said that the Education Department will release a website for discrepancies in the fees of private schools. The Act made for private schools will be implemented at the ground level. If there is a need for any change in the law related to private schools in the public interest, then the government will consider it. He said that the government is planning to raise the standard of government schools. After a while, revolutionary changes will be visible in the schools of Punjab.
