CM Bhagwant Mann reached Delhi for the first time after the defeat of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Sangrur Lok Sabha by-election. He is here to meet with his party's convener, Arvind Kejriwal.

In terms of the by-election results in Sangrur, this meeting is crucial. After winning the assembly elections, AAP was unable to maintain its position in Punjab. Apart from this, in July itself, the Mann government has to expand the cabinet.

There are now 10 ministers, including the CM. Mann government can make 8 more ministers. This is another topic that might be discussed. This includes Dr. Vijay Singla's position as Health Minister, which was dismissed due to a corruption investigation.

It is possible that some ministers in the government's cabinet will be removed and new ministers will be made. The name of MLA Aman Arora and MLA Kunwar Vijay Pratap may also be included in this.

In Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party had won 92 out of 117 seats in the assembly elections three months back. AAP also won nine seats under the Sangrur Lok seat. However, AAP candidate Gurmel Singh was defeated in the Sangrur by-election. This defeat was also significant because he was defeated by Simranjit Mann of SAD Amritsar, who contested the elections for a mere formality in the politics of Punjab.

The Aam Aadmi Party is currently concerned with reviewing the setback. However, the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was the primary factor in AAP's defeat. The AAP government had scaled back Moosewala's protection. The next day, he was killed.

The youth got angry with the government because of Moosewala's murder. Moosewala was going to support Simranjit Mann in his campaign. Simranjit Mann won the election because the youth cast the vote for him.
