A major step has been taken by the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab to improve the deteriorating law and order situation. Following the launch of the anti-corruption helpline by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, now he has announced to form an anti-gangster Task Force in Punjab.

CM Bhagwant Mann during a meeting in Chandigarh on Tuesday stated that an anti-gangster task force will be formed in Punjab which will be headed by ADGP level officials.

This decision was taken by the Chief Minister in a meeting with the Superintendents of Police of all the districts including the DGP and officials of the Intelligence and Law Department at Punjab Bhawan Chandigarh.

Chief Secretary Anirudh Tiwari, DGP VK Bhawra, ADGP Intelligence Sudhanshu Srivastava, Harpreet Sidhu, Kaustubh Sharma and SSPs of the districts were present to participate in the meeting.

Apart from this, the war between Punjab and Haryana is increasing over Chandigarh. Since the demand for the transfer of Chandigarh to Punjab by passing the Punjab Assembly resolution, politics has heated up.

The whole matter began after Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann on Friday moved a resolution in the assembly seeking immediately transfer Chandigarh to Punjab. And on getting support from Congress, Akali and BSP leaders, the resolution got approval in the Punjab Assembly.
