But during the Corona period this policy changed and the percentage system came into existence. Government is taking this same policy forward and decided to give admissions to the students on a percentage basis. CBSE board Students were facing difficulties in taking admissions in the universities in other states. So to make the admission process convenient for CBSE students this policy of percentage will be followed.

Know More About Percentiles

In this the percentage is calculated by comparing marks of one with other students. If two students have given examination, one got 50 marks and other got 25 marks out of 100 so their percentage will be 50% and 25% respectively , but here in the percentile system the student who got higher marks will be given 100 percentile and the other will be given 50 percentile. Due to the policy the RBSE board students benefited the most. Whereas the CBSE students had higher percentages but didn't get admissions due to the percentile system.
