Thecommandant 7th battalion of PAP Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh, having additionalcharge of AIG counter Intelligence Jalandhar zone on Friday received Covidvaccine in the session site at PAP Community Health Centre.
Khakhalong with 100 cops of the 7th battalion took the shot of the Covidshieldvaccine and followed the mandatory protocol by sitting in the observation roomfor half an hour.
Later,they resumed their office after completing all formalities required followingthe vaccination.
HarkamalPreet Singh Khakh said that all of us are feeling totally fine and told thisspecial vaccination camp is being held On the directions of Punjab DGP DinkarGupta, to cover all officers/ officialsof the Punjab Police being frontline workers in the pandemic.
Hesaid that the second dose of the vaccine would be administered after 28 days toeach frontline worker.
Hesaid Punjab Police have done exceptional work during the Covid-19 crisis bydelivering essentials/medicines and other things to the people at theirdoorstep.
He also gave a call to all police personneland other citizens to come forward for vaccination in the larger publicinterest besides keeping the pandemic at bay.
Appealingto the people not to fall prey to any kind of rumours, he said this vaccine wasvital to combat the pandemic and all of us must come forward in getting theshots.
