Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney on Wednesday inspected various offices and branches in the district administrative complex (DAC) and directed the officials and employees to ensure timely delivery of services to the people visiting their offices. The offices that were checked include the SDM office, the MA Office, a section of the transport department, and the record room.


Sawhney directed all employees to remain present in their offices during working hours so that people do not suffer. She said that people should not face any inconvenience when approaching their offices. She motivated the officials/ employees to facilitate people in getting their day-to-day work done easily. She also stressed the importance of proper management in the functioning of these offices.


While crossing the corridor in DAC, Sawhney asked officials to improve the lighting and ensure proper and adequate seating arrangements for the public. She also suggested exploring the possibility of setting up more windows to ease the delivery of services.


Sawhney emphasized the need for prompt redressal of people's grievances to instil trust among the public in the government and its functioning. She added that the state government was committed to implementing pro-people and development-oriented policies for the benefit of the masses.
During the inspection, Sawhney also interacted with employees working in these offices and people visiting them. Prominent officials present on the occasion included ADC (G) Ojasvi Alankar, Assistant Commissioner Upinderjeet Kaur Brar, and others.
