India has formally received the first of the 36 Rafale aircraft on Tuesday. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh performed traditional arms worship before receiving the aircraft. He offered coconut on Rafael, making a mark of 'Ung'. The Congress leader has targeted the central government.
Congress leader Sandeep Dixit questioned the defence minister's receipt of the Rafale aircraft and asked why it was received by the defence minister, only the Air Force could do it. He said that this is just a new fighter aircraft that we are getting.
"The pair of Vijayadashami and Rafael Vimana do not match," he said. Dussehra is a festival we all celebrate, but why are you connecting it to aircraft. The only problem with this government is that more drama is done than working.
Significantly, the Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has formally received the first Rafale aircraft on the occasion of Dussehra. The fighter aircraft Rafael, the manufacturer of the aircraft, was delivered at Marignac, the site of Dassault Aviation. Rajnath Singh was welcomed by Dassault Aviation CEO Eric Trappier at the Badre-Marignek airbase.
