Jalandhar, January 26- The contingent of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) was adjudged the best contingent of parade during the Republic Day celebrations.

The Chief guest of the day was Social Security, Women, and Child Development Minister Aruna Chaudhary handed over the prizes to winners.

Inspector Pardeep Kumar of ITBP received the prize on behalf of contingent whereas Sub-Inspector Bhushan Kumar led Punjab Police (Men) Contingent received the second best prize.

The contingent of Rapid Action Force led by Sub-Inspector Ali Sher Malik received third prize.

Likewise, the contingents of Punjab Police (Women), Punjab Home Guards, National Cadet Corps (NCC) Boys and NCC Girls bagged consolation prizes.

The Minister also felicitated the parade commander IPS Jyoti Yadav who led the splendid march past.

The Chief guest also congratulated the district administration for spectacular organization of the Republic Day celebrations.
