J&K convict shot dead in hail of gunfire outside CP Mall in Mohali

According to information received, a total of 17-18 rounds were fired in front of the mall due to which the deceased was killed

A recently freed convict from Jammu & Kashmir was shot dead in a hail of gunfire in front of the CP Mall in Sector 67. According to information received, a total of 17-18 rounds were fired in front of the mall due to which the deceased was killed. The deceased was identified as Pratap Dogra, and had a PSA case  registered against him. He was released from Jammu jail 5 months ago. Police are currently investigating the incident. 

 

The Police were able to recover several bullet shells near the dead body. In preliminary investigation, bullet wounds were found on the head of the deceased. The body was found lying on the road. According to reports, nearly a dozen shells were recovered from the scene.

 

According to Police, it is being suspected that the attackers fired indiscriminately. The deceased, Rajesh Dogra, seems to be around 45 to 50 years of age. A PSA case has been registered against the deceased, the deceased had a criminal background. He was released from Jammu Jail about 5 months ago.
