Cops Interrogate BJP's Kirodi Lal Meena for Breaching Security at Amagarh Fort
The police have takenRajasthan BJP MP, Kirodi Lal Meena for interrogation for allegedly breakingthe three-layer security detail at Amagarh fort. It is learnedthat Dr. Meena has been arrested from the capital Jaipur.
According to reports,Kirodi Lal Meena had hoisted the flag of Meena Samaj in Amagarh fort evenas the police had blocked movement at the site. Reports further added that thiscomes after a protest that was led by the BJP MP. In addition, he has alsoalleged that the Ashok Gehlot-led Rajasthan government has failed to takeaction against the ones who broke the temple idols inside the fort.
The BJP MP wasprotesting against the police inaction against the breaking of temple idols.Therefore, Kirodi Lal took out a march with his supporters from Suraj Maidan toJaipur Police Commissioner's office. The BJP MLA also tweeted and claimed thathe had been arrested by the police.
Actually, for sometime now, a section of Meenas in Rajasthan have been saying that they are notHindus. He is claiming that the Meenas have a separate identity and arenot Hindus. Therefore, this class is also showing against other Hinduorganizations including RSS. In the same sequence, a few days ago, the leaderof Meena community and Congress MLA Ramkesh Meena had come to the fore forallegedly tearing the saffron flag in Amagarh Fort. Since then politicshas intensified on it.
Ramkesh Meena hadstated that the Amagarh fort is a historic monument of the Meena community andsome "anti-social elements" tried to tamper with the history of theMeena community, which was unacceptable to the locals that led to the incident.
"The Meena communityfollows all Hindu religious traditions right from birth to death. Ramkesh Meenais trying to hurt religious sentiments by inciting a group of the Meenacommunity. He should be arrested," the MP Kirodi Lal Meena said in astatement.
Moreover, Kirodi LalMeena also submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to conservehistoric sites of the tribal Meena community and take action against thosetrying to spread disharmony by inciting people's sentiments. Meena alsodemanded the state government to open the fort and handover the keys tothe Meena community.
