Elections are approaching in Punjab. Ministers are conductingrallies irrespective of a surge in Covid cases in Punjab. The government hasalready asked people to follow Covid related guidelines. But, people are nottaking it seriously.
The Covid-19 pandemic is growing at a faster pace in India.The number of cases in Punjab records a massive spike in the last four weeks.According to the Health Department’s statistical model predictions, nearly 1000cases will be recorded daily by January 5.
On Sunday, Patiala recorded 133 Covid positive cases. Tilltoday, Patiala is the most affected area in Punjab, followed by Pathankot (78),SAS Nagar (55), Jalandhar (45), Ludhiana (40) and Amritsar (19).
A total of twelve Micro-Containment zones have been made inPunjab.
