Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, head of pro-Khalistani Sikhs for Justice, has now threatened to break India in a recent viral video on Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha Diwas. In the video he attempts to instigate the Muslim community of India to further divide the country. He termed the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha event as impure and unholy. He also called for Ayodhya airport to be shut down.

Pannun released the video and deemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be the enemy of the Muslim community. According to his statements, Ram Mandir Samagam is the biggest unholy program so far. He brought to light the point that Ram temple has been constructed by demolishing Babri Masjid. “It has been constructed on the dead bodies of thousands of Muslims” he said. Pannu says that this is not just the demolition of Babri Temple, but the religious conversion of 2 crore Indian Muslims. He even drew parellels between the Ram Mandir Consecration ceremony on January 22 and Indian Govt.’s infiltration of the Golden Temple in Amritsar. He said that January 22 will the be the Blue-Star operation for the Muslims. He is asking the people of Muslim community to demand separation of India and creation of Urdistan.

Apart from America, he runs anti-India propaganda through his organization in Canada and Britain. By releasing videos in the name of demand for Khalistan, he keeps trying to create unrest in Punjab. Last year, the name was again added to UAPA. It is noteworthy that due to his involvement in terrorist activities and repeated anti-India propoganda, Pannu's name was added to UAPA for the second time last year. Then he also made threats of shutting down Air India.

After campaigning with pro-Khalistan organizations and on social media, the Home Ministry banned his organization, Sikhs for Justice, in 2019. A year later in 2020, Pannu was declared a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967.
