A few days after the attack on CRPF convoy in Pulwama, the Central Government has approved air travel for all CRPF soldiers in the Jammu and Kashmir Sector.
According to the MHA, it will give all the personnel of CRPF air travel to Delhi-Srinagar, Srinagar-Delhi, Jammu-Srinagar and Srinagar-Jammu sectors.
The decision will immediately benefit approximately 7,80,000 CRPF soldiers in the ranks of Constable, Head Constable and ASI.
This facility is also in addition to the existing air courier services for the CRPFs. MHA extended it in all of the sectors to help soldiers to cut the travel time during their journey on vacation.
The decision comes over the horrific Pulwama terror attack on a CRPF convoy on February 14 in the Pulwama district in which around 40 CRPF soldiers lost their lives.
