
TheDeputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori conducted the checking in Gandhi VanitaAshram and directed the officials to organize a self-defense training camp forinmates of the Children Home For Girls below the age of 18, operational insidethe same premises.
Afterinteracting with inmates in Gandhi Vanita Ashram, the Deputy Commissioner askedthe officials of the Department of Social Security, Women and Child Developmentto send a proposal immediately so that a camp can be held for the girls at theearliest so that they can become self-reliant.
Hesaid that it is the moral duty of the administration to ensure the girls of thehome can get equal opportunities as other girls.
Hesaid that girls have an unmatchable level of confidence and capability and ifgiven a chance, they can do wonder. Further, the camp would ensure to givewings to their aspirations and would empower them, he hoped. He said that thereare 55 girls in the home out of which 45 girls study in various private schoolsat free of cost. He also went to a computer lab where the girls were attendingtheir online classes.
Further,the Deputy Commissioner ordered the officials to ensure the proper safety andsecurity of the inmates and told them to install folding security gates outsidethe Children in Need of Care and Protection in the building of Gandhi VanitaAshram.
TheDeputy Commissioner also took stock of the arrangements in Widow and Destituteand observation Homes.
Meanwhile,Ghanshyam Thori also visited Pingla Ghar at Gulab Devi road and checked thefacilities for the specially-abled persons, senior-citizen home, and others there.
Healso handed over a grant of Rs one lakh to the management of the Pingla Gharand asked them to continue to serve the ailing mankind.
