The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced major action on Paytm associate Bank on Wednesday, which has stirred panic among the Paytm users. Many people are especially confused about FASTag and the implications on it regarding its connection with the Paytm app. There’s no need to worry however, as Paytm FASTag can be easily deactivated following a few simple steps. Actually, the Central Bank has banned all the services of Paytm Payment Bank. Users will be able to use their existing balance till February 29.  In light of this announcement, many users are looking for a way to deactivate their Paytm FASTag. There are some easy and simple steps that need to be followed for this.

 

  1. First of all you have to go to Paytm's website or its app. Here, login with the registered mobile number with which FASTag account has been created.
  2. After this you will have to go to the passbook option. Here you will see Paytm Wallet and other sections, in which wallet for Fastag will also be present.
  3. Click on the Paytm FASTag wallet option. Now, click on Manage FASTag.
  4. Here you will get the details of all the FASTag accounts which are connected to your phone number. Here you can deactivate any FASTag of your choice.

 

It is important to note that action was taken against the Paytm payments Bank, whose services will be discontinued after February 29. However, users can transfer the funds present in their account. All services will be available to the users till February 29.
