Four dead after drinking ‘poisonous’ liquor in Sangrur, Punjab

In some harrowing news, four people died after drinking poisonous liquor in Sangrur, Punjab. According to reports, the incident took place in the Gujjaran village under Dirba Police station of Sangrur district. Dirba police have taken the bodies of the deceased into their custody and kept them in the mortuary of the government hospital. 

 

The deceased have been identified as Bhola Singh (50), Nirmal Singh (42), Preet Singh (42) and Jagjit Singh (30). All four sat together and drank alcohol on Tuesday night but neither of them woke up the next morning. The family members found the four unresponsive the next morning. When they tried waking them up, they found out that all four of them had unfortunately died.

 

The bodies will be handed over to the family after postmortem at government hospital. Dirba police station is investigating the matter. More details are awaited.
