Deadly snowstorm hits Canada, over 100 accidents reported; watch video

Major snow storm in Canada left thousands of people without electricity while many got injured as over 100 accidents occurred on a major highway in Ontario. Although there has been no casualty reported but people have suffered a lot of financial loss as most of the vehicles included in accident were commercial trucks and cars.

Reportedly, the snowstorm hit Canada on Friday morning and since then there is no electricity in the major cities of the country’s capital Ottawa. The bridge near Niagara Falls that goes to Canada has now also been closed due to severe weather conditions.

The Meteorological Department revealed that as per latest weather reports, snowstorm will stop on Saturday morning but the cold wave will be experienced till Tuesday. Along with this, there are reports that Gurudwaras in Canada have opened its doors for 24hrs providing food and help to the people. The Quebec City area has become the most-effected area by snow storm as it witnessed the strongest violent cold winds for last two days.

The schools in Canada have decided to shut down the classes as the snowstorm has made it difficult for people to travel from one place to another and also it can pose serious danger to the lives of children. Canadian government is doing its best to provide all the people with basic necessities and aid required by them door to door.
