A Jharkhand court on Wednesday awarded death sentence to a person who was found guilty of raping and killing a three year old girl in Gumla district of Jharkhand. According to a lawyer, Additional District Judge L. Dubey of Gumla district awarded death sentence to Bandhan Oraon and also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000.
The incident took place on 23 September 2018 when the girl was playing outside her home. Oraon who is the victim's uncle took her to his home and raped her, after which the child bled to death. The accused had admitted to his crime when he was enquired by the girl's parents. The accused was then arrested immediately.
