The Local Authorities on Thursday said that the death toll from the collapse of a tailings dam in Brazil's state of Minas Gerais rose to 99 while 259 have been reported missing. Out of the 99 bodies retrieved, 57 have already been identified.
The dam collapsed in Brumadinho municipality in the south-eastern state of Minas Gerais last week, which triggered heavy mud floods that caused multiple fatalities and injuries.
