Shakun Batra’s film ‘Gehraiyaan’ is streaming now on Amazon Prime Videos. The film stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, Dhairya Karwa as leads along with Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur in pivotal roles.
Talking about her character in the film, Deepika said, "Alisha, my character in 'Gehraiyaan' is extremely close to my heart and certainly one of the most challenging characters I have portrayed on screen. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to play a role that was fun and challenging at the same time. Each of the characters' struggles and arcs are real, raw and relatable."
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Deepika revealed if she had permission from Ranveer to do the intimate scenes.
Answering this question, Deepika said, “It’s stupid that we’re even reacting to it. I think, for us, that’s the most important thing. I don’t read comments. I’m pretty certain even he doesn’t. And, I think. Yuck! It just feels so stupid.”
"I think he is extremely proud. He’s extremely proud of the film that we made and he’s extremely proud of my performance,” she added.
Deepika on Thursday night shared a post related to her movie release on Amazon Prime.
Jointly produced by Viacom18 Studios, Dharma Productions and Shakun Batra's Jouska Films, the movie is having World Premiere exclusively on Prime Video on February 11, 2022 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
