At least four schools in Jaipur, Rajasthan received bomb threats via an e-mail on Monday morning. The mail sent across different schools created panic after which all the students and teachers were sent home. The search operation in all the Jaipur schools that received bomb threat is underway. Police have started their investigation and search is on to find the sender as well as the IP address from where the bomb threat was sent. The list of Jaipur schools that received bomb threats is yet to be released.
This is the third incident that has taken place in the last 13 days in schools of different cities that have received bomb-threat e-mails. On 1st May 2024, more than 150 schools in Delhi received a bomb threat after which there was a state of panic in the capital city. However, the incident was declared a hoax by Delhi Police authorities and Ministry of Home Affairs. On 6th May, several schools in Ahmedabad also received a bomb threat via an e-mail. As per reports of that time, the mail was sent from a Russian domain 'mail.ru.
Not only schools but on 12th May 2024, two Delhi schools also reported receiving a bomb threat email. These emails were sent to Burari Hospital and Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. The mail was sent from an account called courtgroup03@beeble.com. The mail read, “This is not a threat. You have just a few hours to disarm the bomb or else blood of innocent people inside the building will be on your hands.” After an extensive search operation, no evidence was found.
Talking about the Jaipur schools bomb threat, bomb squad along with dog squad are properly investigating all the schools. Police authorities have requested everyone to stay calm. This is a developmental story. Further details are awaited.
