Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has been summoned by the CBI to be questioned in the Liquor Policy Case. In his latest statement, he said that he will definitely comply with the summons tomorrow and also added that if he is corrupt then no one in the world is honest. He also said that the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) lied under oath to frame Manish Sisodia in court. He has made his intentions to register a case against them known.

The Delhi CM has accused the CBI and ED of perjury and producing false evidence. Manish Sisodia was arrested by the CBI in February this year with regard to this case. He also accused the two central agencies of “catching hold of someone or the other every day, threatening and torturing them mentally and physically” forcing them to name Delhi ministers in connection with the case.

The Delhi CM has also alleged that Arun Pillai and Sameer Mahendru were beaten and “tortured” to take names. He said, “I want to ask the Prime Minister what is happening”. He also slammed the ED’s claims that 100 crores were kicked back in the now defunct liquor policy. He asked, “where is the 100 crore? Raids have been conducted everywhere, Manish Sisodia’s bed was torn open, yet not a single piece of jewelry has been recovered”.

The CBI has summoned Arvind Kejriwal and is likely to question him about the ED’s allegations. The ED has said that the money obtained from the alleged scam was used to fund the AAP election campaign in Goa. He might also be questioned about an untraceable file, detailing the expert committee and public comments on the policy during it’s initial stages.

The Delhi CM is said to have had a conversation with principle accused Sameer Mahendru, who conspired with Vijay Nair and others in the Delhi Liquor Scam Case, according to the ED chargesheet. Arvind Kejriwal’s personal assistant Bibhav Kumar was also questioned by the probe. Bibhav, Manish Sisodia and others have been accused of destroying and changing 170 phones used to obtain thousands of crores in kickbacks.
