Three children suffered brutal injuries after they were hit by an overspeeding car in North Delhi’s Roop Nagar earlier today, the police informed the media after launching an investigation into the matter.

The doctors told the police that two children, aged 10 and 4 years, were out of danger. The third child, aged six years, was hospitalized and was kept under observation. The children were standing on the footpath when the car hit them.

The video of the incident which comes from a CCTV Camera installed in the nearby premises is immensely going viral it showed the driver lost control of the vehicle when the car rammed into the three children who were standing on the footpath.

Soon after this brutal collision the locals standing nearby rushed to the spot and took the control of the situation by sending them to the hospital.

Reportedly the incident is said to be taken place nearly around 9 AM in the morning, the driver of the car has been arrested and remains under the custody of the police by the time this news is being written.

According to the police, one Gajender (30), a resident of Pratap Nagar, was driving his Brezza car. When he reached the Lilawati school, he lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the three children who were standing on the footpath.

"Gajender (30), a resident of Pratap Nagar, lost control of his vehicle near the Lilawati school, police said. The car hit the children who were standing on a footpath, Deputy Commissioner of Police (north) Sagar Singh Kalsi told a news wire while detailing the matter.

The police have registered an FIR against the driver under sections 279 and 337 of the Indian Penal Code. The car has been impounded by the police who said they have initiated legal action against the driver of the car.
