Hours after the Jamia Coordination Committee released a CCTV footage of December 15 showcasing the brutality of Delhi Police on innocent students studying in the library, Delhi Police Crime Branch released the full version of the CCTV footage. The Full version of CCTV footage showcased how rioters took a refugee in the library of Jamia Millia Islamia with stones in their and masks on their face.
However, Jamia Millia Islamia pulled itself from the video released by the Jamia Coordination Committee(JCC). Public Relation Officer of Jamia Ahmad Azeem released a statement and said, "It has come to our notice that some video with regard to police brutality in Dr Zakir Husain Library of the Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is in circulation. This is to clarify that the video has not been released by the university."
He also informed that JCC is a joint coordination committee of students and alumni of the university, and the organization is the flag bearer of the stir against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act the National Population Register (NPR) and the National Register of Citizens.
As per a source from Delhi Police Crime Branch, the police were trying to search these men after some vehicles were burnt outside the university during Jamia violence.
