The Delhi Public Library in collaboration with OCLC organized a conference on “How Indian Libraries can get benefited by associating with OCLC” on
24th October 2019. The Delhi Public Library in collaboration with OCLC organized a conference on “How Indian Libraries can get benefited by associating with OCLC” on 24th October 2019 initiated by Dr Babita Gaur, Senior Library & Information Officer, Delhi Public Library.

The program was presided by Dr. Ramsharan Gaur, Chairman, Delhi Library Board. The Chief Guest of the conference was Dr. R. K. Chadha, Professor, Malwanchal University and the main speaker was Mr Eric Van Lubeek, President and Managing Director, OCLC. The programme was also graced by the cordial presence of Dr R. K. Sharma, Librarian, United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan and Member, Delhi Library Board, Ms.Hanita Van der Meulen, Territory Manager, OCLC and Mr. Santhosh R. Business Head-Learning Solutions, Edutech.

Dr Ramsharan Gaur appreciated the efforts of OCLC for taking initiatives for the development of Libraries. Dr Babita Gaur gave the brief insight of the network of DPL having 34 units situated all over Delhi along with its services to the professionals and also highlighted the efforts made by OCLC and Edutech for the development of libraries.

Mr Eric Van Lubeek addressed the audience with the introduction of OCLC, its ongoing projects, services, member libraries etc.
