Delhi: Zomato Delivery executive stabbed to death with Kirpan by two Nihang Sikhs 'for smoking'

This incident took place at Krishna Park of Tilak Nagar police station area, Delhi. Here recently, a Zomato delivery agent was murdered by stabbing him in the chest. Two Nihang Sikhs have been accused of murder.

Tilak Nagar, Delhi: Cigarette smoking is injurious to health but can it cause the death of someone? Can someone be put to death only because he was smoking a cigarette? You must be thinking how absurd these things are. How can a cigarette cause someone's death? But this has happened with a Zomato delivery agent who was put to death just because of smoking cigarettes.

This incident took place at Krishna Park of Tilak Nagar police station area, Delhi. Here recently, a Zomato delivery agent was murdered by stabbing him in the chest. Two Nihang Sikhs have been accused of murder. According to the information, the whole controversy started after the smoke of cigarettes which finally reached the murder. The deceased delivery agent has been named Sagar Singh.

The whole matter is such that on the night of the incident, Sagar had come to the restaurant to get food for an order. During this, he started smoking cigarettes in the middle, where both Nihang Sikhs were also standing with him, who stopped Sagar from smoking cigarettes. 


Both the persons were having problems with cigarette smoke, so they forbade Sagar to smoke cigarettes. There was an argument between both sides regarding this matter, after which Nihang took out his kirpan and attacked Sagar's chest. During this, Sagar started trying to save his own life, while the accused also hit his face with a stone. Sagar fell there and started suffering.

Even in the injured condition, Sagar remained lying over there for the 15-20 minutes but he did not get any help. After a while, another delivery boy passing by called an ambulance and sent Sagar to the hospital but by then it was too late as Sagar had died. It is being said that if Sagar had gotten help in time, his life could have been saved.

Taking action in this matter, the police have registered an FIR and started scanning the CCTV footage from the spot. Within 24 hours, the police also arrested an accused, identified as 22-year-old Harshdeep Singh. While the search for the second accused is still on. One thing becomes clear from this whole incident that not only human life has been lost here, but along with it, humanity has also been murdered with complete barbarism.
