Details about the tractor march: Threats amid tight security, massive march falls on Republic day

The rally is expected to start from six entry points to Delhi.

Farmers-Protest Delhi Republic-day

Farmers are sitting in protest and agitating against the three farm laws passed by the union government. They are going to carry out a tractor march today. They have been allowed to go ahead with their tractor rally. However, restrictions have been imposed on the tractor rally. The farmers promised the government that they would not disrupt Republic day functions.

Earlier, the government offered to put off the implementation of laws for 18 months but farmers rejected this offer. For past many days, farmers are coming from various part of India to Delhi to be a part of the 'historic' tractor rally.

The rally is expected to start from six entry points to Delhi. Obviously the farmers are protesting in large numbers at Singhu border, Tikri border and Ghazipur border with Delhi.

The farmers are expected to take out tractor rally from 63 Km route near Singhu border. It separates Delhi and Haryana. This route will cover SGT Nagar, DTU Shahbad, Barwala, Auchandi Border ends at Kharkhoda Toll plaza.

62.5 Km route has been cleared from Tikri border in west Delhi. It covers areas such as Najafgarh, Nangloi and ends at Asoda toll plaza. If one looks at the Ghazipur border that separates Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, 68 Km route has been cleared.

However, there are reports some farmers linked to Kisan Mazdoor Sangarsh Committee have already taken out their tractor parade while the police had asked to carry it out after the Republic day parade.

As per reports, the police have arranged tight security across Delhi.
