Dev Nath, Priest of a Valmiki temple attacked by 10 goons, blames BJP worker

Priest of a Valmiki temple, named Dev Nath and his two followers at Daria Village was attacked on Monday. Nearly 10 people with sharp weapons and sticks assaulted them.

The video of the incident was captured on a CCTV camera. According to the priest, they were attacked by a BJP leader. The BJP leader wanted to grab the land of the temple. In his complaint, Dev Nath told the police that when he was outside the temple, around 10 goons attacked him and his two followers. They ran and went to hide inside a room but the goons came following them and later attacked with knives and sticks.

The two followers, namely Pinku and Sumit came to attend a wedding in the village. Dev Nath called on the police helpline number. The police reached the spot and took three of them to Manimajra hospital. All of them are out of danger now.


The police have registered a case against all the 10 goons.  According to officials, the attackers came to attack Sumit but Dev Nath and Pinki were along with him. The motive behind the attack is still not revealed. The police officials are investigating the matter.
